Ill Manors: Print platform

Men's Health Interview

  1. The audience that is attracted to this particular magazines are men that are aged between 14-40 and are men from the physcographic groups such as Apirers. This magazine is about men's and their health which also relates to having a good shaped body. In this interview, Plan B talked about how he was overweight and whenever he would walk into a room, he was have a loss in confidence. Therefore, he decided to change his whole appearance and started working out. This links to the physcographic group of 'aspirers' as it shows that people are trying to seek for a 'status'. Linking this back to that interview, people are looking for status as they want to have a healthy body and not to be overweight so that people can also acknowledge it and therefore, those particular people wouldn't lose confidence.
  2. The magazine interview is educating the audience about their own personal identification and it is shown through the different tips that have been given by Plan B.
  3. One of the main things that I noticed of the print was the medium close up shot of Plan B as he is wearing the suit which instantly tells the audience that he is the main star of this article.
  4. Linking back to all the other points, the main thing that kept the readers going in the article is about the tips that he was giving the interviewer. He was talking about how if you don't feel confident about your self appearance then you should do something about it. Therefore, this got the audience reading because as the interview went on, it tell the users what sort of situation he was in and how he change when he took action and solved his problems.
  5. The similarities between the article and Plan B himself is all of the things that he is using in the pictures, e.g. the behind the scenes equipment that is shown in the second picture.

NME Magazine interview

  1. The target  audience that I would give for this specific interview would be males that are aged between 16-28. This is because of the extreme use in bad language and the hand gestures given in the final picture of the article. The psychographic groups that I would put the target audience into would be also aspirers because of the fact that they would want to make a change to the different beliefs shown by everyone (ideologies).
  2. People can relate to this because what Plan B went through,  some one else may have to and therefore understand what he was going through.
  3. The different codes and conventions that I found in this article were the different quotes that Plan B was saying in his interview. In the pictures, it also shown another medium close up of Plan  B which stated that he was the main character.
  4. One of the way it kept the viewers interested was when Plan B told the interviewer the release dates of both his music and film which was called 'Ill Manors'.
  5. In every single broadcast examples we have seen, he has always been determined to do what he wants to do and this is exactly how he has described it in this interview.

Guardian interview

  1. The Guardian newspaper would have a younger audience as it shows what happened throughout Plan B's life and more of his fans, particularly young boys, would want to read this more than anyone else.
  2. The article shows the process of Ben Drew and this is known as 'personal identification'. This means that the audience may have the pleasure of this because some of the audience may have gone through the same process that Plan B may have gone through.
  3. The key conventions that I had found in this article were the different quotes that were used which was explaining Plan B's life in the past and how it was described using the long paragraphs which is in the way newspapers would be formatted in.
  4. One of the ways in which this article kept the viewers interested is mainly how they had described the life of Plan B since it showed that his life was abnormal and the article had so many different things to talk about Plan B.

Daily Mail review of Ill Manors

  1.  The target audience of this article would lie in the demographic group of A and B and some of C1 with the majority of the gender being female; This is a article which is strongly linked  to criticising the movie Ill Manors. The psychographic group that this would be involved with would be suceeders who are seeking 'status'; these different people want to tell everyone their views having putting it up on the internet.
  2. This article kept the audience entertained as it has a lot of negative things about the movie. One example was the it is a 'bad episode of EastEnders', which is a popular British soap. This keeps the viewer interested because it gave links to big brands that they may be aware of and may find this funny and therefore want to read on because the writer of the article may have made more links.
  3. The conventions of this article were the different pictures of scenes that were shown in the movie of Ill Manors
  4. In each paragraph, they were all very short and every single on of them had something different to say, in terms of ciriticising and therefore, the viewers wanted to carry on depending on if they were against the film.
  5. All  the pictures shown in the article were synergy's because they were all different parts of the movie, 'Ill Manors'.
